Welcome to 2009 Firestone Indy Lights team SWE Racing. Team owner Steve Eppard has been affiliated with the IRL and his SWE Racing Transmissions & Components business, supplies of driveline components to IRL teams.

Steve Eppard announced on August 6th 2008: LUCAS Oil Products launches a new High Performance Racing Transmission Oil, “Xtreme Friction Reducer” (XFR) with Firestone Indy Lights team SWE Racing of Brownsburg, In. (317-852-4710). The new “XFR” logo will appear for the first time at Kentucky Speedway on August 9th, 2008. SWE, in conjunction with LUCAS Oil, has developed XFR racing oil for use in racecar transmissions. XFR was designed to run under the extreme forces and temperatures that the racecar delivers to the transmission without breaking down. XFR reduces the friction between the gears allowing the car to have less rolling resistance and mechanical drag, creating more speed.

Steve Eppard, SWE team owner said: “I am very excited with the partnership of LUCAS’ new line of racing oils and SWE. I was at the dyno test performed by Xtrac Gear and was impressed with the results of XFR. Forrest Lucas not only showed up for the test, but he took it upon himself to hand blend the oil that dyno tested with outstanding drag and temperature results creating XFR.”  More at http://www.lucasoil.com/ .
